I.A.Y.P or International Award for Young People, is an award of individual challenge, giving young people a balanced, non-competitive program of voluntary activities. This encourages personal discovery and growth, self-reliance, perseverance, responsibility to themselves, and service to their community. Those who participate in the Award are expected to follow its requirements in a non-competitive manner with a determination to succeed, either individually or as part of a team. The age of participation for the award is 14 to 25 years. The basic structure of the Award consists of 4 mandatory sections Service, Adventurous Journey, Skills, and Physical Recreation. There are 3 levels of the Award -Bronze, Silver, and Gold. Participants must complete the four mandatory sections.
This is an award instituted by the Duke of Edinburgh and is successfully running in more than 135 countries across the globe.
Our School is a YES (Youth Engaging Society) center for The International Award for Young People (IAYP) which is the most adaptable and successful youth empowerment program. Mrs. Anupama Sharma and Mrs. Mini Sibi (Award Leaders of IAYP) attended the workshop regarding the activities to be conducted in the School.
