Mid-day meals are served to Std. I-III, keeping in mind the nutritional requirements of young children. Their aversion to vegetables is counteracted by eating together with their peers. The nutritional value of the food being served is also discussed. When the students eat with their peers, they tend to eat even those vegetables that they generally dislike. Table etiquettes are part of this exercises.
