Class Day (V) Theme – “ The Legend of Mulan"

The students of Std. V of St. Mary’s School Dwarka celebrated their Class Day on 5th October 2024. The programme commenced with a dance to the rendition of ‘Jesus Wants Me for a Sunbeam’. “The Legend of Mulan” was enacted, highlighting themes of bravery, courage and empowerment. The students exhibited their talents in the form of acting, singing and dancing. The Chief Guest, Group Captain Deepak Vats and Mr. Thomas Mathew appreciated the students for their enthralling performance. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks and the School song.


2023-24
Class Day (V) Theme – “ The Lion King"

St. Mary’s School, Dwarka celebrated Class Day of Std. V on 22nd July 2023 with great enthusiasm and zeal. The students presented the musical play ‘The Lion King’ with great zest. The programme commenced by invoking God’s blessings with a beautiful performance of ‘Jesus Wants Me for a Sunbeam’. This was followed by the captivating performance of the musical play and amalgamation of mesmerizing dance performances. Ms. Tasneem Shahnaaz, Associate Professor in the Department of English, Sri Aurobindo College, University of Delhi, graced the occasion with her valuable presence. She emphasized on the holistic development of students. The chief guest applauded the outstanding performance of the students and appreciated their efforts. The Principal, Ms. Sheelu Mathew addressed the gathering. The audience was fascinated by the enchanting and vibrant performance of the young performers. Finally, the programme ended with the school song.


2019-20
Class Day (V) Theme – “ Wizard of Oz"

The students of Std. V of St. Mary’s School, Dwarka, celebrated their Class Day on 3rd August 2019 with great zeal and enthusiasm. The theme for the same was ‘The Wizard of Oz’. The programme started with the invocation of God’s blessings with a dance performed on the song ‘Jesus Wants Me for a Sunbeam’, followed by a beautiful play and foot tapping dances. The event witnessed 100% participation by the students. Mr. Akash Oswal, a prominent lawyer and cycling enthusiast, graced the occasion with his presence. He is actively involved in Government’s Social Campaign ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’. He appreciated the performance of the students and inspired the parents to encourage their wards to participate in extra curricular activities for their overall development. The parents were enthralled by the mesmerising performance of the students. The Headmistress, Ms. Nisha Batra addressed the gathering. She appreciated the students and teachers for their efforts.




2018-19
Class Day (V) Theme – “ Alice in Wonderland"

Std V was celebrated their Annual Day on 28th July, 2018. The musical "Alice in Wonderland" was an astounding visual treat portraying Alice's adventures in Wonderlan through some riveting performances by the students. The acting skills, songs and dances exhibited by the students stole the show and received a huge applause and appreciation from the audience. The Chief Guest for the occasion Commander Rakesh Pandey(Naval veteran and GTO) expressed happiness and congratulated the students for their stupendous performance.




2017-18

Class Day (V) Theme – “ Lion King"

The Class Day of Std V was celebrated on 5th August 2017 with great enthusiasm. Mr. Thomas Mathew, the Vice Chairman of St Mary’s Education Society was the Chief Guest for the day. The theme was the undisputed classic, ‘The Lion King’. The story depicted the journey of a lion from cub to adulthood and acceptance of his royal destiny through a musical. The children exhibited their talents in acting, singing, dances and drills. They looked fabulous in their unique costumes and won the admiration of the audience. The event witnessed 100% participation by the students. Happiness and pride was writ large on the faces of parents throughout the programme. They applauded the children for their talents. At the end, the Chief Guest and the Principal Ms. Sheelu Mathew appreciated the children for their splendid performance.


2016-17

Class Day (V) Theme – “ Stop Wastage of Food-Value What You Eat"

St. Mary’s School, Dwarka organized the Class Day of Class V on 27th August, 2016 with great enthusiasm. The theme for the Class Day was “Stop Wastage of Food-Value What You Eat” with 100% participation by the students. The children were in their best attire. They charmed the audience with the prayer song SUNBEAM, music and dance filled the air. The play showcased the value of food in our lives followed by the colourful drill display. The chief guest for the day was Mr. P. C. Sharma, Head of the GSBV (Ranhaula) school. The chief guest addressed the gathering and appreciated the values imparted and efforts made by the little ones and the teachers. Parents departed with a pleasant memory of the day and a smile on their face with a big thank you.


2015-16

Class Day (V) Theme – “ From Darkness to Light"

St. Mary’s School, Dwarka organised the Class Day of Std V. As this year is being celebrated as the year of light,the theme for the programme was ‘From Darkness to Light’. The event was marked by melodious songs, a dance, a skit and a drill which gave a strong message to the audience. The skit presented by the students highlighted the social issues prevailing in the society and how we can overcome them by walking on the path of righteousness. Ms. Madhu Sharma, Headmistress, Shanti Gyan International School was the Chief Guest for the occasion. The Principal, Mrs. Sheelu Mathew congratulated the children for their confidence on stage and appreciated their effort as well as their hard work.
