Class Day (I) Theme – " Grandparents Day"
The students of Std. I of St. Mary’s School, Dwarka celebrated their Class Day on March 6th 2025. The programme commenced with a beautiful dance to the rendition of Jesus Wants Me for a Sunbeam. The students presented a beautiful musical play “The Boy Who Meets God” which was a tribute to the unconditional love of the grandparents. The little gems left the audience spellbound by their enthralling performance. The husband wife duo Mr. Amar Nath Sharma (Retired Principal Himachal Pradesh Education Department) and Mrs. Meeran Devi (Retired Sanskrit teacher Himachal Pradesh Education Department ) graced the occasion by their presence. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks and the school song.






2023-24
Class Day (I) Theme – " Charlie and the Chocolate Factory"
St. Mary’s School Dwarka celebrated Class Day of Std I on 24th February, 2024. The theme for the day was “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory- A Day Dedicated to Grandparents.” The Chief Guest of the programme was a renowned Yoga instructor Ms. Rajkumari Tiwari. The students of Std I presented a musical play based on Roald Dahl’s famous book Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. The audience were mesmerised by the performance of the little wonders who acted, danced and sang beautifully. The programme ended by the address of the chief guest who praised the efforts that the school was taking to bring out the talents of the little children.












2017-18
Class Day (I) Theme – “Celebrating Our Grandparents Day”
Class I celebrated their Class Day on 10th March, 2018 with great enthusiasm. The topic was "Celebrating Our Grandparents Day".
2016-17
Class Day (I) Theme – “Grandparents Day”
Class I celebrated their Class Day on 1st October 2016 with great enthusiasm and vivacity. The topic was “Grandparents Day’. The students expressed their gratitude and love towards their grandparents through various programmes like play, songs, moral teachings and dance. Dr. Alka Sharma was the Chief Guest for the occasion. She is currently the Director in the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science,Government of India. Happiness and pride was writ large on the faces of the grandparents and parents throughout the programme. They applauded the students for their talent.In the end, the Principal Ms. Sheelu Mathew and the Chief Guest addressed the gathering. The programme ended with the vote of Thanks and the school song.

“It is rightly said that God couldn’t be everywhere, so he made grandparents.” St. Mary’s School, Dwarka celebrated the Class Day of Std. I on 3rd October 2015 with enthusiasm and elan. The children captivated the audience with their poems, songs, play, yoga and dances. The play presented by the students show cased the importance of grandparents in our lives.The chief guest for the day was Mr. Bakhshish Singh, who is presently the Principal of Civil Aviation Training College, New Delhi. He has directed short films and authored books as well. Happiness and pride was evident on the faces of the grandparents and parents when they saw the young children perform on stage with confidence. The chief sguest addressed the gathering. With the vote of thanks , school song and National Anthem ,the morning ended in a beautiful resonance lingering in everybody’s minds.
