The mid day meal was introduced to cater to the nutritional requirements of the children at this tender age (Std. I to III). The main focus is on the fact that the whole class sits together and eats together. Besides this they learn table etiquettes and manners too. The nutritional value of the food being served is also discussed . When the students eat with their peers they tend to eat even those vegetables that they generally don’t .
